Introduction: How to rename airpods
AirPods are great, but they can be easily lost. If you’re looking for a way to rename your AirPods, we’ve got you covered.
Just follow these simple steps:
First, open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Next, tap Bluetooth and then tap the “i” next to your AirPods.
Finally, enter a new name for your AirPods and then tap Done.
Step 1: Connect your airpods to your computer
Once your AirPods are connected to your computer, open the “AirPods” folder. This is where all of your AirPods’ settings and files are stored. If you have an existing “AirPods” folder on your computer, delete it and then create a new one. Within the “AirPods” folder, create a new text file called “Info.plist”. Right-click on the file and select “Open with > TextEdit”.
Now, enter the following information into the “Info.plist” file: <key>Name</key>
<string>My AirPods</string>
Save the file and close TextEdit. Your AirPods will now be renamed to “My AirPods”.
Step 2: Locate the airpods files on your computer
1. Once you have located the airpods files on your computer, right click on one of the files and select rename.
2. In the text box that pops up, type in the new name for your airpods and hit enter.
3. You will then see a message that says “The file name “AirPods” has been successfully changed to “New Name”.
4. Congratulations, you have successfully renamed your airpods!
Step 3: Rename the airpods files
Once you have copied the airpods files to your computer, you will need to rename them. The file names will be in the format “AirPods-XXXXXX.zip”. You need to remove the “-XXXXXX” from the filename. So, for example, if the filename is “AirPods-123456.zip”, you would rename it to “AirPods.zip”.
After renaming the files, you can unzip them by double clicking on them. This will extract the files and folders inside the zip file to a new folder on your computer.
Step 4: Disconnect your airpods from your computer
If you want to change the name of your AirPods, you’ll need to disconnect them from your computer.
To do this, hold down the button on the back of your AirPods case until the light starts flashing white. Then, open the lid and remove the AirPods.
Next, connect your AirPods to your iPhone. Open the Settings app and tap ” Bluetooth.” Under “My Devices,” you should see your AirPods listed with the name you gave them.
Tap on the name and type in a new one. When you’re done, tap ” Done.”
Your AirPods will now have a new name!
